One of my favorite things about Alec Soth’s new site is how it’s introducing me to a bunch of new photographers, like Bill Bowden, who takes a lot of pictures in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

Does anybody remember when I lived on Grammercy Place off Hollywood Boulevard? Anyway, I did in 1999. I just got a copy of Ed Ruscha’s ‘Then & Now’, where he photographed the entirety of Hollywood Blvd from the back of a pickup truck. Then thirty years later did the same thing.
